Welcome to Gaffer! Here's how to get up and running in just a few minutes.
1. Sign up
Head to usegaffer.com/signup and enter your name, email, phone number, and business name. Choose your plan (Starter or Pro) and complete payment via Stripe. Every new account gets a 7-day free trial.
2. Get your Gaffer number
Once your account is active, you'll be assigned a dedicated phone number. This number works on both WhatsApp and SMS. Save it to your phone so you can chat with Gaffer anytime.
3. Complete onboarding
Send your first message to your Gaffer number on WhatsApp. Gaffer will walk you through setting up your business: your trade, pricing, working hours, service area, and more. Just answer the questions naturally, one at a time.
4. Share your number
Once onboarding is complete, share your Gaffer number with customers. Put it on your website, business cards, van, Google Business listing, and social media. Customers can message this number to book jobs, ask questions, and get quotes.
5. Set up call forwarding
Forward missed calls from your personal number to your Gaffer number. This way, if you're busy on a job and miss a call, Gaffer will take a voicemail and send you the transcript on WhatsApp.
