Earn credit on your Gaffer subscription by referring fellow tradespeople.
How it works
- Share your link — Find your unique referral link in Dashboard > Referrals.
- They sign up — Your friend signs up for Gaffer using your link and starts their free trial.
- You earn credit — Once they complete their trial and pay their first invoice, you receive a credit on your account (£20 for GBP accounts, $20 for USD accounts).
When is credit applied?
Credit is applied automatically to your Stripe billing account as soon as your referral makes their first payment. It will be deducted from your next invoice — no action needed on your part.
Where can I find my referral link?
Go to Dashboard > Referrals. Your unique link is displayed at the top of the page with a copy button. You can share it via WhatsApp, text, email, or anywhere you like.
Is there a limit?
No — there is no limit to the number of referrals you can make. The more friends you refer, the more credit you earn.
Can I track my referrals?
Yes. The Referrals page shows a full log of every referral you've made, including their current status (Pending, Qualified, or Credited) and the total credit you've earned.

- Pending — Your friend has signed up but hasn't yet completed their trial and paid.
- Credited — Your friend has paid and your credit has been applied.
FAQs
Can I refer myself?
No — self-referrals are not allowed.
What if my referral cancels?
Once credit has been applied to your account, it stays there regardless of what happens with the referred account.
Do both parties get credit?
Currently, only the referrer receives credit. The referred person benefits from their standard free trial.
