Customers can book appointments by chatting with Gaffer on WhatsApp. The process is conversational and natural.

How customers book

  1. Customer describes what they need
  2. Gaffer checks if they're in your service area
  3. Gaffer offers available dates and times
  4. Customer picks a slot
  5. Gaffer creates the job (auto-accepted or pending your approval)
  6. Customer gets confirmation

Emergency bookings

If you accept emergency call-outs and a customer has an urgent issue (burst pipe, gas leak, power cut), Gaffer can book them in outside your normal working hours. The emergency call-out fee is quoted upfront.

Service area checking

Gaffer checks the customer's postcode against your service area before allowing a booking. If they're outside your area, Gaffer politely lets them know.
